Over several months, the Thames Freeport Skills Accelerator programme provided a unique blend of strategic thinking, applied learning, and cutting-edge digital tools tailored to the evolving needs of the Port of Tilbury and its business clusters: to become more agile, sustainable, and competitive in a fast-changing global economy.

Facilitated by an expert team led by Lise Hunter and colleagues, Chiwuokem Nwoko, George vanDyck, Ben Siu with outstanding support from Chris Bennewith and Ian Roberts – the programme focused on themes that reflect today’s most pressing challenges and opportunities. Senior leaders from the Port of Tilbury attended the two-day workshops with feedback stating this as an exemplar of collabporation between industry and academia, and commitment to continued collaboration.
