Activity: Contribution to engagement › Public and community engagement
Description
Community relationships are vital to conducting ethical and effective research. This is especially true for the involvement of particular groups such as older adults. To engage with older adults in the local community I gave several talks to U3A groups and organised a visit to the newly-opened BRIC (details here https://www.plymouth.ac.uk/facilities/brain-research-imaging-centre/public-and-patient-engagement-and-involvement-in-research). These efforts supported recruitment to our Older Adult Participant Group https://www.plymouth.ac.uk/research/psychology/brain-research-and-imaging-centre/healthy-ageing
